1) Summary

    The following decision is proposed:

 

    1.1. That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) approves the design project appraisal for Sopley Primary School, New Forest, as a total estimated cost of £446,000, excluding fees.

 

2) Reasons for the decision

    These are the reasons for this decision being made, including any links to the corporate strategy.

    2.1. The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for all users of the School by providing purpose-built, permanent classroom accommodation to replace existing temporary classrooms, together with new office/group rooms and associated accommodation, new boiler room and replacement cesspit.

    The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
