1) Summary

The following decision is proposed:

1.1. That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) approves the design for the proposed classroom extension at Park Gate Primary School, Park Gate, at a total estimated cost of £503,000, excluding fees.

2) Reasons for the decision

2.1 The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for all users of the School by providing permanent classroom accommodation to replace existing temporary classrooms, along with internal refurbishment works to existing classroom areas.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
