Hampshire County Council Accessibility Strategy and SEN Policy 2009 - 2012
Summary of formal consultation responses:
1. There were 22 formal responses to the consultation process. Responses were received from the following groups:
i) 17 schools - 7 infant
- 3 junior
- 3 primary
- 2 secondary
- 2 special (although 1 of the special school headteacher was also "responding on behalf of special school headteachers")
ii) 3 NHS individuals/groups
iii) 2 Voluntary Organisations - FLASH (autism support)
- The National Deaf Children's Society
2. Attempting to categorise responses leads, inevitably, to a certain degree of subjective interpretation. There were, however, 23 broadly supportive or positive comments. Where respondents made references to specific concerns or issues these are listed below with the figures on the right hand side indicating the number of times they were identified:
