TRANSPORT FOR SOUTH HAMPSHIRE JOINT COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Transport for South Hampshire Joint Committee will take place on

Wednesday 28 January 2009, at 10.00am in Committee Room A, Portsmouth Guildhall, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, PO1 2AB. Please report to reception.

A location plan is attached. The Isambard Brunel multi-storey car park and Portsmouth and Southsea Railway Station are both 200 metres from the venue. Please note there is very limited on-street parking outside the Guildhall.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    To receive any apologies for absence.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    All Members who believe they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that interest and, having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

4. MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 17 OCTOBER 2008

    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on Friday 17 October 2008.

5. SOUTH HAMPSHIRE AGREEMENT - MULTI AREA AGREEMENT REFRESH

    To consider the report of the Hampshire Director of Environment seeking approval for Transport for South Hampshire to participate in refreshing the South Hampshire Agreement and to submit the next Multi Area Agreement.

6. SOUTH EAST HAMPSHIRE BUS RAPID TRANSIT

    To consider the report of the Hampshire Director of Environment on the progress of the South East Hampshire Bus Rapid Transit scheme, and seeking approval to undertake studies to develop further phases of the scheme.

7. TRANSPORT FOR SOUTH HAMPSHIRE FREIGHT STRATEGY

    To consider the report of the Hampshire Director of Environment summarising the key outcomes of the 12 week freight consultation and seeking approval to revise the South Hampshire Freight Strategy in light of this feedback.

8. DELIVERING A SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT SYSTEM

    To consider the report of the Southampton Director of Environment summarising the proposed response by Transport for South Hampshire to the Government consultation "Delivering a Sustainable Transport Strategy".

9. REGIONAL TRANSPORT BOARD

    To receive an oral report from the Portsmouth Director of Environment updating Members on the Regional Transport Board.
