1) Summary

    The following decisions were made:

 

    1.1. That the proposal to procure a framework for provision of electrical testing and inspection services at an estimated cost of £400,000 per annum be approved.

    1.2. That the selection and appointment of a contractor under the IESE Tier 2 framework to provide pre-construction services up to a maximum value of £35,000 in connection with the proposed amalgamation of Meadowlands Infant and Junior schools be approved.

    1.3. That the selection and appointment of a contractor under the IESE Tier 2 framework to provide pre-construction services up to a maximum value of £35,000 in connection with the proposed refurbishment and improvement works at Cherry Orchard and Copper Beeches older persons homes be approved.

    1.4. That the additions and amendments to the Capital Repairs programme and other miscellaneous approvals as set out in Appendix 1 of the report be approved.

 

2) Reasons for the decision

 

    2.1. The completion of projects through framework arrangements, which involves closer working and collaboration with the construction industry, ensures that schemes are delivered in a cost effective way and provides continuous improvement in the County Council's services and enhances the quality of place in Hampshire.

2.2

The Capital Repairs programme provides funding to improve County Council buildings and provide better learning and safe environments, which benefits all users of the services.
