36. REVIEW OF THE AGREED SYLLABUS

The Agreed Syllabus Conference considered the report of the Director of Children's Services (Item 6 in the Minute Book) on the review of the Agreed Syllabus. Members were pleased that the costing had more or less been agreed by Hampshire Officers and that the findings from the quantitative and qualitative surveys would inform the review of the Agreed Syllabus.

Members approved the proposal to extend the review period beyond one year, to enable the syllabus to respond to the current review of the curriculum and incorporate any QCA advice.

    RESOLVED:

    (a) That the Agreed Syllabus Conference approve the costing and start of the planned review process.

    (b) That the Agreed Syllabus Conference defer the decision on an implementation date until after the curriculum review and advice from QCA is received.
