1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

There were no apologies as all Members were present.

2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Members were mindful that, where they believed they had a personal or a personal prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting, they should declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter was discussed save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration to be made at the time of the relevant debate.

No such interests were declared on this occasion.

3 CHAIRMAN'S COMMUNICATIONS

The Chairman welcomed all the witnesses to the meeting and thanked them for the evidence they had provided.

4 TIMETABLE AND PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY

The Panel considered oral evidence from witnesses as set out in the programme and appendices attached to the papers. They then interviewed witnesses as follows:

· John Buckett, Head of Highways and Transport Planning, and Keith Willcox, Project Director - Transport for South Hampshire, Environment Department, Hampshire County Council


· Councillor Richard Appleton, Portfolio holder for Planning and Environment Regulation, with Mr. Viv Evans, Corporate Director,
Hart District Council


· Mr. R. Curtis, Hampshire Division, South Central Ambulance NHS Trust


· Mr. Ron Hatchett, Strategic Land and Planning Manager, Bloor Homes (representing Developers Consortium for the north of Hedge End SDA)


· Mr. Rhod MacLeod, WSP - representing the joint venture involved in the planning and development of proposed north of Fareham SDA)


· Councillor M.J. Kendal, Executive Member for Environment, Hampshire County Council
