The following decision was made:

That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) approves the design proposal for the indoor sports facility at Dove House School, Basingstoke, at an estimated total cost of £400,000 (including fees of £50,000).

2) Reasons for the decision

The scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place for all users of the School by providing a purpose-built indoor sports facility.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
