1) Summary:

The following decision was made:

1.1. That the Executive Member for Children and Families give approval for the County Council, as a partner within the CAMHS Trust , to be given Single Tender Approval to contract for a transitional period of 1 year with the four current providers of specialist CAMHS in Hampshire, to support the work set out in Local Area Agreement and The Children and Young Peoples Plan

2) Reasons for the decision:

2.1. To enable a thorough review of service to take place to establish best way forward with regards procurement

3) Other options considered and rejected:

3.1 Do not commission a service until procurement process is complete

Risk Assessment: There would be no service available to users throughout 2009

3.2 Hampshire County Council provide this service `in house'

Risk Assessment: The County Council does not have the capacity to deliver the service in house
