1) Summary

The following decisions are proposed:

1.1. That approval be given to acquire the land identified in the report, and that the Acting Director of Property Business and Regulatory Services (Interim Head of Estates) be given authority to settle detailed terms and conditions.

1.2. That, if the land is acquired, a further report be brought forward identifying how the land will be managed to meet the corporate priorities of maximising wellbeing and enhancing our quality of place.

2) Reasons for the decision

2.1. The opportunity to purchase this landholding will meet the County Council priorities of maximising wellbeing and enhancing our quality of place by securing this important area of land and enabling public access, recreational and environmental objectives to be met.

Not to acquire the property. This would represent a lost opportunity.
