1) Summary

The following decision was made :

1.1. That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) approves the grant applications to organisations to support young people within Hampshire as set out in the submitted report save for Hampshire Scouts whose application will be subject to further scrutiny.

2) Reasons for the decision

These are the reasons for this decision being made, including any links to the corporate strategy.

2.1. This decision supports the following Hampshire County Council priorities:

"Making Hampshire safer and more secure for all" - by supporting organisation that provide positive activities for children and young people.

"Maximising well being" - by supporting organisations that deliver services to children and young people or are funded by children and young people or aim to help vulnerable children and young people.

2.2 The decision supports the following aims of the Children Act:

As well as enabling voluntary organisations, grants help them to achieve the five outcomes of Every Child Matters by encouraging young people to stay safe, be healthy, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well being.
