1) Summary

The following decision was made:

That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services (Education) approves the design for the proposed Adult Learning Centre at Brookfield Community School and Language College, Sarisbury Green, at an estimated total cost of £405,000 (including fees of £53,000).

2) Reasons for the decision

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place by providing a purpose-built classroom to replace the existing temporary building which is used for adult education and community purposes.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
