1. The decision:
a) That the County Council responds to the Department for Transport as described in Appendix 1 of the report, and that the response to question 12 be strengthened to encourage consideration of 20 miles per hour speed limits in rural villages, as well as urban areas.
2. Reason(s) for the decision:
2.1. The County Council wishes to inform Government policy in road safety.
2.2. Successful road safety performance is a vital component in making Hampshire safer and more secure for all.
