1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
All members who believe they have a personal or a prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Fire Authority's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with Paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 30 April 2009.

6. MEMBER DEVELOPMENT - UPDATE
To receive an oral report from the Chief Officer providing an update on the progress of Member Development.
7. ESTABLISHMENT
To receive the report of the Chief Officer on the actual and authorised establishment as of 31 May 2009.
8. PROJECT AND PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT (PPM)
To consider the report of the Chief Officer on the Project and Programme Management approach to ensure all development work is managed under a single governance system.
9. CHILD PROTECTION ARRANGEMENTS
To consider the report of the Chief Officer on the Service's work to help protect children, young people and vulnerable adults.
10. DIRECTORATE REVIEW
To receive the report of the Chief Officer on the review of the most senior leadership structures of the Service.
11. APPOINTMENT OF HFRA MEMBERS TO PRINCIPAL OFFICER PAY REVIEW GROUP
To appoint Members of the Committee to the Principal Officer Pay Review Group. This group provides the independent review of principle officer pay on an annual basis, is supported by an independently appointed HR practitioner and works within a pre-agreed process.
