a) Environment Agency agreed to attend March 2009 meeting to provide up to date information and answer questions. Outcome: no follow through by Committee, but chairman seeking information about availability of `Hampshire' as opposed to `South East `focused information b) to be overviewed and scrutinised in real time at March meeting. Outcome: considered at March meeting and observations passed to the Executive Member for consideration at his decision day. Response requested, and provided (April letter from Cllr Kendal to Cllr Hutcheson) c) to be overviewed and scrutinised in real time at March meeting. Outcome: Committee commended the Environment Department's work over the severe weather periods, and asked to be briefed about any lessons learned through a retrospective review being undertaken. Officers to communicate the update when completed. |

Recommendations communicated to the Executive in June; response received and considered by the Committee in July. Following receipt of response to recommendations by the Executive, and subsequent consideration by the Select Committee, 2008/09 timetable for outcome monitoring of progress with recommendations agreed at an additional Select Committee meeting in July 2008.
October meeting considered progress on two recommendations (B & C). Outcome: a more comprehensive report on work associated with rec. B to come to July 2009 meeting. January 2009 meeting considered progress with recommendations I,K(i),S,V(i) (ii), D,L,N. Outcome: progress supported, and additional information requested in keeping with ongoing monitoring timescale (next report timetabled for July 2009) |
