1) Summary

The following decision was made.

That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services approves the design for the proposed community sports pavilion at Hamble Community Sports College, at an estimated total cost of £650,000 (including fees £85,000).

2) Reasons for the decision

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place by providing a purpose-built community sports pavilion to replace the original Hockey Club pavilion.

3) Other options considered and rejected:

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
