1. The Decision:

That the design for the proposed extension and internal reconfiguration/ refurbishment at Norman Gate School, Andover, at an estimated total cost of £726,000 (including fees of £96,000) be approved.

2. Reasons for the decision

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place by providing extended and refurbished accommodation.

The Executive Member for Education declared a personal prejudicial interest in this proposal as he is a Governor at Norman Gate School. Accordingly, the executive decision making was referred to the Executive Member for Policy and Resources.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
