Appointments to the Asset Management Working Group

1. Summary
This report seeks approval for the appointment of Members to the Asset Management Working Group.
2. Asset Management Working Group
2.1. The Group was established by the Finance and General Purposes Committee on 30 October 2002 to consider in more detail, than is normally possible at regular meetings of the Committee, various aspects of the Authority's Asset Management Strategy.
2.2. The Group is a non-executive body with no decision making powers and makes recommendations to the Committee for consideration and adoption as appropriate.
2.3. It is proposed that the following Members be appointed to this group:
Councillors: C. Carter
A. Evans (Chairman)
R.H. Price
D. Simpson
[Note: Councillor I. Beagley is an ex-officio member of the Working Group as Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee and Councillor R. Smith is an ex-officio Member as Chairman of the Authority].
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Committee confirms the appointment of Members to the Asset Management Working Group.
3. Equality Impact Assessment
3.1. An impact assessment has been made on the proposals in the paper and shown that they are not discriminatory. They are considered compatible with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.
