1) Summary

The following decision was made:

That the Executive Member for Culture, Communities and Rural Affairs approves the refurbishment proposals for Waterlooville Library, Waterlooville, at a total estimated total cost of £819,000 (including fees of £90,000).

2) Reasons for the decision

The proposed scheme will maximise wellbeing and enhance the quality of place by providing refurbished facilities under the Learning, Engagement and Adult Development Project - the proposals seek to establish a place of learning and development for the local community.

The need for the works has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
