2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
All Members who believe they have a personal or a prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Fire Authority's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with Paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.
3. MINUTES
To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 12 December, 2008.
4. DEPUTATIONS
To receive any deputations.
5. APPOINTMENT OF A VICE-CHAIRMAN
To consider the appointment of an Independent Member Vice-Chairman of the Committee.
6. ARRANGEMENTS TO COMBAT FRAUD AND CORRUPTION
To receive the report of the Clerk summarising the arrangements in place within the Authority for whistleblowing and combating fraud.
7. RECENT CHANGES IN LEGISLATION AFFECTING STANDARDS COMMITTEES
To receive the report of the Clerk about some of the recent changes in legislation affecting Standards Committees.
8. MEMBERS' TRAINING
Following the appointment of new members to the Standards Committee at the Authority's annual meeting in June 2009, Members are invited to consider their training needs to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities and, if appropriate, request the Clerk, as Monitoring Officer, to arrange for training to be provided.
