1. The following decisions were made:
a) The Executive Member for Adult Social Care endorses the Annual Report 2008/09 of the Hampshire Adult Protection Committee/Safeguarding Adults Board
b) Through endorsing the report, the Executive Member for Adult Social Care supports the further raising of awareness of issues relating to Safeguarding Adults in the public arena.
2. Reasons for the decision:
2.1. Hampshire County Council Adult Services have the leadership role for safeguarding adults across all agencies and the Executive Member for Adult Social Care and Elected Members provide scrutiny of this role
2.2. The Hampshire Adult Protection Committee/Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report 2008/09 is being presented to the Executive Member for Adult Social Care in order to endorse the report and support raising awareness of the issues relating to safeguarding adults in the public arena.
