1. The decision:

a) That approval be given to the sale of 0.77 hectares (1.89 acres) of land at the junction of Moorgreen Road and Monarch Way, West End on the basis set out in the report and on detailed terms and conditions to be settled by the Director Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Strategic Manager - Assets and Development).

2. Reason for the decision:

2.1. The decision will enable the surplus site to be sold at the earliest time and generate a capital receipt for use in implementing the strategy to improve primary school provision in the area.

3. Other options considered and rejected:

3.1. An alternative option which has been considered is to retain the land for a further period of time, until there is further improvement in market conditions. It is considered that the present offer for the site is at an acceptable level and represents an attractive solution at the present time.
