1. The decision:

a) That subject to an addendum to paragraph's 2.4 and 2.5 of the full response together with some contextual amendments to the summary to strengthen the response overall, the Cabinet approved the response to the Green Paper `Shaping the Future of Care Together', to be submitted to the Department of Health by the Leader.

2. Reason for the decision:

2.1. The purpose of this paper is to allow Cabinet to consider and comment on the proposed County Council response to the Government's `Shaping the Future of Care Together' Green Paper. A summary of the County Council's views is set out at Appendix C with the full response at Appendix D. The deadline for submission of comments is 13 November 2009.
