1. The following decision was made:

The Executive Member for Adult Social Care, having regard to the Hampshire Sustainable Community Strategy, gave approval to award grant funding to the Councils for Voluntary Services totalling £240,000 (£45,000 in 2009/10 and £195,000 in 2010/11) to fund the appointment of Community Development Workers.

2. Reasons for the decision:

2.1. To contribute to the Hampshire Model of Personalisation, focusing in particular on providing early intervention and prevention services.

2.2. To support the corporate strategy in terms of maximising wellbeing through grant awards to the Councils for Voluntary services who will provide services to meet this priority.
