1. The decision:

a) That Cabinet agree the Healthier Hampshire, Hampshire's first Health and Wellbeing Partnership Strategy subject to all partners approving the Strategy and the final strategy document being agreed by the Health and Wellbeing Partnership Board on 14 December 2009.

b) That Cabinet note the content of the report and the actions taken to ensure engagement.

2. Reasons for the decision:

2.1. The Strategy will give partners the opportunity to express their commitment to working better together and using innovative approaches to join up the way they work. This will involve sharing existing resources in relation to expertise, buildings and staff in a more cost effective and efficient way. By working better together there will be a reduction in duplication leading to improved productivity and efficiency. This will result in increased opportunities to improve the quality of experience for citizens.

2.2. Healthier Hampshire will provide a joined up approach to meet the shared objectives of partners to tackle unhealthy lifestyles, health inequalities and join up health and social care responses.
