1. The decision:
That the Cabinet approved the revised Corporate Procurement Strategy and expressed their appreciation to all the staff involved in developing the Strategy.
2. Reason(s) for the decision:
2.1 The Corporate Procurement Strategy recognises that community cohesion, safety and security is a key part of the County Council's corporate priorities. The strategy has a positive impact on the management of the County Council's resources and on the local economy; by promoting a strategic approach to procurement; and by developing the procurement skills of staff and improving capacity.
