1. The decision: (PROPOSED)

a) That approval be given to the sale of Courtbourn, Albert Road, Farnborough to the preferred purchaser as set out in the body of the report; and

b) That the Director Property, Business and Regulatory Services (Strategic Manager - Assets and Development) be authorised to settle the detailed terms and conditions including any minor adjustments to price as may be required.

2. Reasons for the decision:

2.1. The bid offered by the preferred purchaser provides the greatest degree of certainty of obtaining an acceptable capital receipt for the property, and is the second highest unconditional offer received;

2.2. Enhancing our quality of place - The sale of Courtbourn is linked to the Enhance Project, which resulted in the upgrading of Ticehurst in providing residential facilities for older people. The proceeds of sale from Courtbourn will also be used to fund fire safety and associated improvements within the Council's older persons residential homes.
