1. The decision:

a) That Cabinet accept the Annual Audit letter.

b) That the response set out in report Item 7D and the Use of Resources action plan are endorsed.

c) That a Part II report be prepared for County Council on 18 February 2010.

2. Reason(s) for the decision:

2.1. The Audit Commission is required to issue the Annual Audit Letter to all member of the County Council by 31 December each year. Cabinet is asked to consider the letter and the actions it sets out.

2.2. The Use of Resources assessment forms a part of the annual audit work as well as a part of the organisational assessment and the actions and proposals for improvement need to be considered with regard to improvements for the 2009/10 Use of Resources assessment.
