    1. The following decision was made:

      That the proposed timetable for Local Transport Plan 3 development set out in Appendix D be approved (as amended).

    2. Reasons for the decision:

    2.1. To facilitate the timely development and preparation of a Hampshire Local Transport Plan 3 (LTP3) that is ready to come into force on 1 April 2011, when the current LTP2 expires.

    2.2. To agree a timetable of key milestones that will be used as the basis for future decision making by the County Council regarding preparation and formal adoption of a Hampshire LTP3.

    3. Other options considered and rejected:

    3.1. Not to produce an LTP3. This option was rejected because Hampshire County Council has a statutory duty to produce an LTP. The current LTP expires on 31 March 2011.
