1) The Decision:

1.1. That approval is given for partnership funding for 2009/10 for Marwell Wildlife Education service of £41,000

2) Reasons for the decision

2.1. The support enables the above Centre to deliver outdoor education to Hampshire young people in support of the Hampshire Outdoor Service 2008/11 Strategy and in support of the Corporate Priorities, specifically relating to `Enhancing our quality of place'

3) Other options considered and rejected:

3.1. Option 1: Rejecting partnership funding applications

a) Risk Assessment: Total collapse of service to young people currently offered by these centres/services.

3.2. Option 2: Reducing funding available

a) Risk Assessment: Reduction in quality of provision; Increase in direct cost; Reduction in quantity of provision.
