1) The Decision:

1.1. That the Executive Member for Culture and Recreation agrees the proposed way forward for future static library provision in Hampshire.

2) Reasons for the decision

2.1. On 29 June 2009 Cabinet approved the Vision and Strategy 2009-2014 for Hampshire's Library and Information Service. The Strategy set out the Library and Information Service's commitment to provide access to library services to the population of Hampshire within the available budget. In order to do this a framework needed to be agreed, and this was agreed by the Executive Member on 10 September 2009. The framework promised that more detailed proposals would follow and this report seeks agreement on more detailed proposals for static libraries.
