2. Reason for the decision
2.1 To support the continuing activity of important arts organisations which provide valued arts opportunities for Hampshire people, in support of the Corporate Strategy Aims of Hampshire safer and more Secure, Maximising Wellbeing and Enhancing our Quality of Place through the varied programmes that these organisations, collectively, provide.
3. Other options considered and rejected
3.1 - making no awards - would undermine funding relationships with other funders i.e .Arts Council, Districts and Boroughs and adversely impact on these organisations ability to provide a quality service to the public and to support the Council's core objectives.
3.2 - making decreased awards - would have adverse impact on quality and quantity of provision.
