Information and resources for educators
We believe in applying psychology for positive change in a collaborative and respectful way.
This includes giving schools and colleges the tools to support their pupils and staff year-round. Our guidance and resources are available for everyone and can be used alongside work with our EPs.
Critical incidents and sad events
We can provide support and guidance to schools and colleges following sad events and critical incidents, including:
- death of staff member, pupil or member of the school community
- serious accident involving pupils or staff members
- a major fire in a school or setting
- an event witnessed outside of school (such as a serious assault or accident)
Our aim is to give your school or college evidence-based psychological support tailored to your needs. This service is available to all early years settings, schools and colleges across Hampshire.
Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
EBSA describes children and young people who are struggling or are unable to go to school due to emotional factors. There are likely to be many reasons why pupils may find it difficult to attend school, including avoidance of uncomfortable feelings and stressful situations.
Transition planning
A transition planning agreement (or TPA) is a structured meeting template which has been designed to support the process of joint transition planning, involving young people (where possible), parents/carers, and setting staff. See guidance and forms:
