Staff training
We offer a range of centralised courses which can be accessed by staff at any Hampshire County Council school or other education setting.
These training areas include:
- THOMAS – autism/social communication needs training for staff and parents working with children in early years (up to reception at school)
- Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), including consultation
- Cognitive behavioural approaches
- Resilience, Resolutions and Restoration (anti-bullying)
- Supporting learning and development through play
- Understanding and supporting behaviour
- Loss and bereavement
- Attachment, relationship and emotion coaching
- Theraplay and life story work
- Lego therapy
- Person Centred Planning (PCP) training
- Planning, Applying, Checking and Evaluating (PACE) maths training
- Physical intervention – Team Teach
A combined training and supervision package is also available for these areas:
- Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) – school age and early years versions
- Therapeutic Active Listening Assistant (TALA)
- Therapeutic story writing
- Mediated Learning Support Assistant/Approach (MeLSA)
- School Wide Advocate for Neurodiversity (SWAN)
