ELSA and Nurture Conference 2025
Course description
Seeing Through Their Eyes
A conference designed for ELSAs and nurture group staff to explore effective ways of understanding and exploring the views of children and young people - building empathy, deepening insight, and enhancing support.
Keynote – Introduction to personal construct psychology
Delivered by Heather Moran, Chartered Clinical and Educational Psychologist and Personal Construct Psychology Counsellor.
Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) is a useful psychological theory to understand people and why they do what they do, even when it seems that their actions will land them in a problem situation. It is the basis for Drawing the Ideal Self and a number of other techniques which explore an individual’s view points and the sense they make of the world. I will explain the basics of PCP and illustrate the theory through examples from work with children and young people.
