Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)

EBSA is a growing area of need in young people locally and nationally. School staff, parents and carers can feel stuck about what to do to support pupils, resulting in long periods of absence for children.

On this course, child-centred tools for recognising and responding early to EBSA will be shared, as well as good practice from local schools.

SENCos, headteachers, school/college staff

Format and duration

One three hour face to face training for both delegates and one 2 hour group supervision for one delegate. One 1 hour virtual consultation with two EPs for school and a pre-recorded video to share with parents.
