Education Participation
Monitoring and supporting young people after they leave school
The Education and Participation service has two main roles:
- Monitoring the destination of young people after they leave school (Years 12 and 13)
- Supporting young people not participating in education, employment or training (sometimes referred to as NEETs)
We also offer a bespoke service to young people in care and care leavers up to the end of Year 13.
Signposting and post-16 choices
We support and monitor young people within the Hampshire area from when they leave Year 11 until the end of Year 13. This allows us to identify whether they are participating in education, employment or training (in line with raising of the participation age guidelines).
As part of this process you may receive communication from one of our team members via letter, call, text, email or home visit. The purpose of this communication is to gather information about your current status, including details of your college or employer's name, course levels and completion dates.

I've left it until now to let you know how my son is getting on. He is just about to finish his 3rd week and all I can say is that he is a different young man. He absolutely loves everything about it. Not seen him as content as this for a very, very long time.
This is all down to yourself. We cannot thank you enough. We appreciate everything you have done for our son. We are so grateful.
