Accessibility Ambassadors
Making Spaces More Inclusive – Together
Young people from Hampshire SEND Youth Forum, #BeeWell Youth Matters Steering Group and Youthwatch are currently working on an Accessibility Ambassadors pilot that aims to empowers young people across Hampshire to make public spaces more accessible for everyone.
Ambassadors will visit places like parks, libraries, leisure centres, and cultural venues. They use a simple toolkit that they have co-produced to assess accessibility, speak with staff, and share feedback to help venues improve.
Why it matters
This is a youth-led initiative that gives real voice to lived experience and helping shape more inclusive communities.
