Joint Pension Fund Panel and Board

The Hampshire Pension Fund was granted approval by the Department of Communities and Local Government, (now Ministry of Communities, Housing and Local Government), to form a Joint Pension Fund Panel and Board. The Joint Panel and Board is responsible for the governance and management of the Hampshire Pension Fund, including:

  • the statutory functions of Hampshire County Council as Administering Authority of the Hampshire Pension Fund
  • dealing with matters relating to the management and investment of the Fund
  • assisting to secure compliance with the Local Government Pension Scheme regulations and associated legislation plus the requirements imposed by the Pensions Regulator
  • discharging the responsibilities of Local Pension Boards as specified in the LGPS regulations of January 2015.
