Who can work in adult social care?
For many roles, you don’t need previous social care experience and you may already have relevant work, voluntary or life experience that makes you a perfect candidate. What matters is you have the right values to work compassionately with our clients as you’ll be given all the training you need.
- Care Assistant – provides essential support to residents, including personal care.
- Day Opportunities Support Worker – provides front line care in our day centres, assisting individuals with daily activities.
- Community Reablement Assistant – supports a person in their home for a short time, as detailed within their care plan.
- Companion – supports residents to engage in activities that improve their overall wellbeing.
- General Assistant – provides support in our care settings, helping with meals, cleaning and laundry.
- Catering Assistant – prepares and serves well balanced nutritional meals for residents in our care settings.
Where could you work?
We run residential care settings and day services across Hampshire, as well as working with people in their own homes.
- Care homes – supporting people who need nursing care or assistance with daily living activities and personalised care.
- Short term services and respite – supporting people with recovery when they leave hospital, when they've been unwell or need temporary support at home.
- Day centres – supporting older adults and adults with disabilities, offering services and activities tailored to individual needs.
- Community Response teams – supporting older adults and adults with disabilities in their own home by assisting with everyday activities such as personal care, dressing and mealtimes.
