About us

Hindson House is a short stay respite unit for adults with learning or physical disabilities between the ages of 18 to 65.

The 8 bed unit comprises of communal use rooms including a lounge, external summer house for quiet breaks room, dining room, kitchen and laundry. The bathroom and wet room are adapted for use with hoists, personal care equipment and wheelchairs. Each bedroom has its own key and can be locked internally. Our in-house chef is able to cater for many dietary requirements.

We welcome visitors to Hindson House but do ask to be informed.

Trained staff provide twenty-four hour cover, including waking night and ‘sleep in’ staff. Although we do not provide nursing or invasive care, we do offer personal care.

Hindson House aims to provide a high quality service that promotes independence and focuses on your abilities, needs and wishes. If there is anything in your culture, religion or you require any specialist facilities then please make the referrals manager aware during the referral process before your first stay.
