The SENCo Induction course provides practical support for understanding the SENCo role, key policies, and how to help children with SEND. By the end, participants will feel confident in their responsibilities and able to apply effective strategies in their setting. The course also introduces the new SEN Support Guidance, promoting inclusive practice, tailored support, and strong collaboration with families.
This course is only applicable to those who meet the following criteria:
- Are currently or are about to become, the named SENCo for the setting
- Are level 3 Early Years Childcare trained, or currently working towards the qualification and EYE childminders
- Have not completed any Hampshire SENCo training before
- Can attend all 3 sessions in full
Please Note:
- All participants are expected to engage fully throughout the session.
- You must not be included in ratio or responsible for other duties during the training.
- A device with both a working microphone and camera is required.
- Please ensure you are in a quiet location that supports full participation.
