Next Steps to promote your business and to offer Early Years Education (EYE) funding
- Information and advice
-
Services for Young Children (SfYC) offer childcare providers a Moodle platform where we have a wealth of information and support for you and your business. You can register for an account to access the information on Services for Young Children Moodle homepage.
- Advertising your service to parents
-
The Hampshire Family Information and Services Hub (FISH) is where childcare providers can advertise their services for free. We recommend that all childcare providers sign up to publish their details on the FISH. To publish your details on the FISH, please complete our registration form and select the FISH option.
The FISH is also where Hampshire's SEND Local Offer is published, and you can add your own local offer details for parents to view. More information about the SEND Local Offer can be found on the Moodle (once you have created a Moodle account) please go to the FISH and SEND Local Offer page.
- Offering Early Years Education (EYE) funding
-
With the expansion of the EYE funding to younger age groups, making childcare more affordable for families, being able to offer the funded hours in your setting should benefit your business. For more information about registering for EYE funding, (once you have created a Moodle account) please go to the Early Years Education Funding Approval page to view the 6 steps for funding approval.
There is also a Frequently Asked Questions document which we hope will answer any questions you may have.
Registration for Early Years Education Funding is not an immediate process. Funding cannot be approved until all required documentation has been received and processed. Please allow enough time for the registration process to be completed before you offer EYE funded places.
- Support
-
To keep in touch with what other childcare providers are doing in Hampshire, there is a closed Facebook Group. To join the group, log into Facebook, search for Hampshire Childcare Provider Support Group (Services for Young Children) and submit a request to join. You will need to supply your Ofsted registration number (Proposed or Active) and live or work in Hampshire. You may also want to join the district based childcare provider self-sustaining networks, for more localised information and support.
For information on the Facebook groups, the self-sustaining networks and if you have further questions please see SfYC contact page.
