Royal Victoria Country Park
Personally commissioned by Queen Victoria and opened in 1863, the Royal Victoria Chapel blends timeless beauty and heritage to create a picturesque wedding venue. It’s a truly spectacular place to hold your wedding ceremony or reception.
The Chapel building will be exclusively yours, with access to the tower, gallery and Chapel Garden for you and your guests to enjoy.
The Chapel is licensed for wedding ceremonies, with space in the beautiful Chapel Hall for up to 200 people. The venue can be transformed for a wedding breakfast with up to 120 seated guests, with room for receptions with up to 200 standing attendees.
Day hire cost
£3,300 to £4,000 for up to 200 guests from 9am to 5pm.
Day and evening hire cost
£5,850 to £6,800 for up to 200 guests from 9am to 12am.
Room hire includes
- Access for you to dress the venue in advance (typically the evening before your event from 5pm to 9pm).
- Exclusive use of the building and use of the garden area during hire times.
- Duty Manager and volunteers to support the organisation and smooth running of the event.
- Supervised access to the Chapel Tower at agreed times.
- Volunteer guides to support the event, including enabling tower visits.
- Round or long trestle tables and chairs.
- Standard white chair covers and tablecloth for ceremony table, with the opportunity to choose coloured sashes and alternative colour linen for an additional charge.
- Use of the Chapel audio system (Bluetooth connection) and microphone.
- License for music until 11pm and alcohol until 11:30pm.
- Ground hire for a marquee if you wish to bring one in as part of your event. Overnight security is not included.
- External caterers can be brought in for a £250 fee. If you’d like in-house catering, choose one from our selection of carefully curated packages.
- Parking for all guests.
