Saturday 9 May, 10am – 4pm
Join professional artist Kate Watkins to learn how to make cyanotypes by harnessing the power of the sun.
Create permanent blueprints on paper using pressed leaves, flowers, and photographic negatives. You’ll prepare your own chemicals, coat paper, and produce unique keepsakes and artworks.
Make a selection of prints, experiment with wet cyanotype techniques, and tone shades using natural extracts. Combining art and science, the process is easy to learn and suitable for beginners or experienced creatives. Once you’ve learnt the basics, it’s simple to continue at home.
