Apply to suspend a bus stop
- Introduction
-
Anyone undertaking works on the highway that will obstruct a bus stop must complete an application to request a temporary bus stop closure and, if applicable, a temporary bus stop to replace it.
- Before you apply
-
To enable us to process your application as quickly as possible, there are some key pieces of information that you should have. This includes:
- the bus stop location
- time and length of the bus stop suspension
- whether a temporary bus stop will be required
- your relevant permit number to perform works on the highway
- After your application
-
Following the approval of your application and payment of the associated fee, the Passenger Transport Team will arrange for the bus stop to be closed and, if required, for a temporary bus stop to be put in place.
- Charges
-
At the end of the application form you have to pay the administration fees as set out below. You cannot submit the form until you have paid the fee.
The licence fee is applicable in all scenarios and is detailed below.
