Scheme Overview
The aim of this scheme is to enhance pedestrian safety for those traveling between Lymington Church of England School and Lymington Sports Ground. The project will include the construction of a new zebra crossing and the widening of the footway on the southern side of Avenue Road.

The scheme is expected to commence during the school summer holidays in 2025.
Funding Arrangements
Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
