Hampshire County Council appointed M Group Highway to undertake investigatory highway works on the A30/A327 Cricket Hill Roundabout in late October 2025.
The investigation work included digging small trial holes to check the ground and plan road repairs safely. Workers also drilled small holes in the road to take samples, which help assess its condition. Ground radar surveys were carried out to locate underground utilities, and some vegetation was cleared.
- Schemes Overview
-
Measures to improve the northbound approach to the roundabout to improve safety and reduce over running of the verge. Please view the plan with the proposed improvements.
- Funding Arrangements
- Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
