Scheme overview

The scheme is currently on hold due to insufficient funds for implementation. We will review bringing the scheme forward should there be an opportunity to acquire the additional funding needed.

The proposed scheme aims to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety by adding approximately 50 meters of new footway. This new section will connect two existing footways on Long Lane, extending through a residential estate.

Funding Arrangements
Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
