Scheme overview
We are currently reviewing the technical plans for this scheme. The scheme may be brought forward if a revised design is shown to be deliverable, represents good value for money, and achieves the scheme objectives below. 

The proposed scheme aims to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety by adding a section of new footway along Long Lane. This new section will connect two existing footways on Long Lane, extending through a residential estate.

Funding Arrangements
Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
