Scheme overview

A package of works is being proposed to deliver 19 improved crossing points across Rowlands Castle, aimed at supporting safer and more accessible movement throughout the area. These locations are currently under consultation with Rowlands Castle Parish Council. The scheme proposal is being developed in collaboration with Havant Borough Council. Please see the location plan. 

Works expected to start in Summer 2026.

Funding Arrangements
Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
